SNO!zone is set to help Comic Relief raise lots of money this year after they held an exclusive midnight Zorbing session for customers in Scotland.
The indoor snowsports centre at Braehead, was the venue for the first indoor zorbing night when they met with The Airbag.net last Friday. The huge inflatable 3m sphere was brought to SNO!zone, courtesy of The Airbag.net, so that people could experience the thrill of an outdoor extreme sport, indoors on snow – a first in the UK, whilst helping to raise money for Comic Relief.
Both SNO!zone and The Airbag.net donated money for the superb cause, which launches Friday 13th March on BBC 1, and participants were also asked to pay £5, raising a total of £620.
Lisa Allan, Brand Manager for SNO!zone said: “It was amazing to hold the after hours zorbing session, it was the first time that it has been done indoors on real snow so it was very exciting for everyone. Raising money for Comic Relief made it even more special, as it’s great to be part of what the charity stands for and to help fund the projects they take part in.”
SNO!zone are hoping to raise even more money this week, with collection buckets out during the week for any customers who wish to donate towards Comic Relief.
