Becky Menday is a name that anyone who’s been following the British Snow Tour in the last couple of years will surely recognise. This mini shreddette has been ripping at a high level for a few years now, recently beating girls much older than her to take the Burton High5 overall title at Hemel Hempstead. Helen Fox is a talented Scottish lass who’s made her mark at several events recently, throwing down at the Kelvingrove Park session over the summer and winning the High5 leg in Braehead.
So it’s perhaps no surprise that the both these ladies have recently found themselves hooked up by Ride Snowboards. Helen and Becky join a team that already features Katie Blundell and the talented Lynsey Ashdown (who’s just won a couple of High5 Tour stops herself!) making it one of the strongest girls teams in UK snowboarding. Young Becky has also been hooked up by Protest Outerwear, joining Ben Kilner on the their team, and at the same time she’s been added to the GB freestyle snowboard team roster, meaning she’ll now be coached by the likes of Hamish McKnight. All of which is pretty impressive for an 11-year-old! Nice one Becky, and congratulations to Helen as well.
