OK here’s the skinny on this long-awaited sequel to a wacky French classic. Basically in the original a band of skiers, monoskiers and just plain evil mountain goers are after a snowboarder who has a magic suit. This suit (a rather tasty 80s one piece) gives its wearer amazing powers – namely the ability to be the master on any snow going craft. And by ‘craft’ we mean ANYTHING. If you want to see a bunch of guys use a catamaran, rib, paraglider and even a zorb ball to go down a mountain and put in sick powder turns this one is for you!
Fast forward 25 years and the crew at APO have revisited the story for “APOCALYPSE SNOW, Le Retour”. The suit – held safely in a bunker since the original – is stolen by a dreadlocked chap and all hell breaks loose as various weirdos with parachutes etc. try to get it back. This movies looks as insane as the original, and has taken two years to produce. Check out this teaser to get a flavour of the gallic action…
