Greenwich 8/11/07

On a cold and wet Thursday evening in early Novemeber, Greenwich Picture House in south east London hosted the UK premier of the 2007 Analog team movie ‘Trouble in Japan’ with the night being staged and organised by Revolutionz snowboard store (London), located just around the corner from the picture house on St. Williams Walk (be sure to check the shop out if ever in Greenwich). You had to pre-book tickets for the night through Revolutionz as they were limited in numbers and Jason from Revolutionz had very kindly funded the night along with Analog, so firstly props have to go out to Jason for making the night happen!
The crew from Analog here in the UK nicely decked out the cinema with Burton, Gravis and AG promotional stuff and Analog money was handed out to those lucky people who got tickets for the premier to exchange for cheap booze at the after party from Analog / Spin Trading’s’s very own Dan and Claire.
The movie was played on a massive cinema projector screen and all were glued to the screen from beginning to end, The Analog team didn’t cese to amaze throughout with Dave Downing, Hekki Sorra, Danny Davis, Mickal Bang, JP Solberg and the character that is Trevor Andrew busting out sick moves throughout, both on and off the hill, and then there was the powder and more powder and more powder and…. you get the point! You’ll have to pop down to your local Analog dealor or hit up the Analog website to get a copy of the movie as I’m not disclosing to much more to spoil it, you’ll have to discover Trouble in Japan for yourselves.
After the Analog flick the new Burton team movie was shown and kept the crowd pinned to the screen for another 45 minutes. Dan busted out a few jokes on the mic in between flicks and then ushered everyone over to the Admiral Hardy pub (market square, Greenwich) for some serious party action and to meet up with all those unlucky peeps who didn’t get a ticket for the premier and dance the night away to DJ Jay (Red Bull DJ and friend of the snowboard community) and brush shoulders with some of the UK’s top riders and industry hoes (myself included).
All in all a quality night, the movies were sick, the cinema and pub were of a quality standard, the crowd was on good form and everyone left dreaming of snow and their next snowboarding trip aided by a copy of the Analog movie clasped in a sweaty palm.
A special Thanks must go out to Jason from revolutionz, Dan from Analog and the Spin Trading crew, the venue’s (will we be allowed back?), Red Bull DJ man Jay, the riders and everyone who attended.
