What a week we’ve had! As most of you snow lovers out there will know, snowboarding and skiing descended onto our nation’s capital last weekend.
London Freeze was where most of the action was being held and for those of you who went along, there were some pretty gnarly tricks being put down. First things first though, check out this video of London Freeze being built (don’t worry it’s been sped up so you won’t have to sit at your computer for three days!).

Despite the big air competition on Sunday being cancelled due to humid and rainy weather throughout the weekend, and of course the numerous riders battering it, Freeze was nowhere near a loss of fun. We had big air ski finals on friday, followed by the LG FIS Snowboard World Cup finals on Saturday and the LG Air Bag event on Sunday. Something for everyone to be entertained by whilst big name bands such as Cypress Hill and The Enemy played in the music tent.
In the Snowboard finals, Peetu Piiroinen stormed his way through qualifying and with his good form took first place. Stefan Gimpl joined in the festivities by coming in second and Roger Kleivdal took third.Scotty Lago turned into the crowd and the judge pleaser by winning trick of the day with his stunning double back flip late backside 180.

All in all a very good weekend from London Freeze but it wasn’t the only snow event happening in London that weekend. Whitelines was making an appearance at the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show.
Below are a couple of photos of our wonderful stand:
And an entertaining reader who came to visit us:
And if all that wasn’t enough! There was also the Bread and Butter Premiere at the Coronet Cinema in Notting Hill. The two pictures below are snapshots from the event which we all enjoyed!
Tom Elliott and John Weaver introduce the Bread and Butter Movie, which is also available with November’s copy of Whitelines.
So after our weekend of debuached snowboard craziness, we’re back in the office performing the daily routine. If you managed to catch any of the weekend’s action then we hope you enjoyed it. If not, don’t worry, there’s plenty more events coming up soon!
