The Details:
Tweaking out your grabs is one of the oldest pleasures in snowboarding. Yes, we’re attached to the board, which limits us in comparison to skaters, but there’s still plenty you can do if your bindings allow. The K2 Hurrithane is there to serve those who need a bit of extra flex in order to contort themselves into wierd and wonderful shapes when grabbing.
The ‘Tweekback’ highback is the highlight of this model. Built entirely out of urethane, a quick go at manipulating it with your hands will show you what the potential is for tweakability.
Don’t worry about your heel-edge turns, though; a supportive spine down the middle means that while it may not be the best for hard carves, it’ll get you where you need to go.
Once you’ve made it to a park feature or natural hit, the fun really starts; the Hurrithanes offer you the freedom to tweak to your heart’s content. If you’ve ever wanted to tick off the more obscure grabs, then the Hurrithane – along with a regular yoga regime – will help you get there.
Even if you’re just looking for a bit of added fun when boning out your indys, nothing comes close.
