After a couple of shaky weeks, those who kept the faith for a decent Scottish snowfall have been rewarded. All five resorts have benefited from colder temperatures and, of course, plenty of the white stuff.
Thanks to the sterling efforts of the crew at Snow Factor Braehead (and the fact that the west-coast hills have had it better than most), Glencoe now has an awesome park setup in place – that is, when it’s not being buried in powder! It even attracted the attention of the local news – the award for best ‘game face’ of the year goes to Greg Bow for keeping it together in his interview, despite the boys’ best efforts:
Elsewhere, the Lecht had a disappointing start to the season but now has enough cover to run snowsports. Once there’s enough for a park, you can guarantee the crew will have it up and running at the earliest opportunity.
Cairngorm, Glenshee and Nevis Range are all reporting great snow cover too, so now’s the time to get that Scottish mission in if you haven’t already. Keep an eye on Ski Scotland for the latest webcam images and forecasting.
