You can keep your Lords-a-Leaping, your Swans-a-Swimming, and your bloody Partridge in a Pear Tree. This is a competition worth singing about.
To celebrate the festive season, we’ve hooked up with snowboard shops and brands from across the UK to give you the chance to win 12 absolutely awesome prizes. A new prize will be revealed below and on the Facebook calendar/competition page every day for the next 12 days up until Christmas Eve.
Entering is as easy as ABC. All you have to do for each prize is:
A) OPEN THE DOOR ON THE COMPETITION CALENDAR
B) ENTER YOUR DETAILS
C) SHARE THE IMAGE OF THE PRIZE ON YOUR FACEBOOK WALL
You can enter every single one of the 12 prize draws if you like, and the doors will stay open until January 6th, with the winners being announced after that.
Oh and yes, we know the pedantic amongst you will point out that the 12 days of Christmas are supposed to be after the 25th but when the prizes are this good, who’s complaining?
1) On the 1st day of christmas Whitelines offered me… a £200 Voucher from ss20
“SS20 was opened in December 1988 on the Cowley Road in Oxford by Mon Barbour and Dave Furneau, and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year! Our aim was, and always will be, to provide the best possible equipment and advice in order to support the UK’s skate and snowboard scenes.
SS20 has gone from strength to strength, providing customers with top quality service, sound advice and one of the fastest internet/mail order services in the UK. Our reputation within the skateboard and snowboard industry is second to none and that’s the way we’d like to keep it.”
2) ON THE 2nd DAY OF CHRISTMAS WHITELINES OFFERED ME… A jones aviator snowboard from Tsa
“The Snowboard Asylum is the UK’s leading chain of snowboard stores, and has been supporting the British snowboard scene since forever.
Jones Snowboards is the brand founded by legendary freerider Jeremy Jones, star of Deeper, Further and the forthcoming movie Higher. Designed by Jones himself and made in the Nidecker factory in Switzerland, his boards are all top quality. The Aviator is a new model for 2013-14, and is something of a departure for Jones, being more of a freestyle focussed/all-mountain machine than some in the brand’s quiver.”
3) On the 3rd day of christmas whitelines offered me… a £200 VOUCHER to spend at halfpipe london
“Halfpipe London has been supplying the very best snowboarding gear since 2003. A family run business, we are the only independent snowboard store in London. Every member of staff rides and every item in store has been hand picked; from every beanie to every board…we sell what we love.
As a way to say thanks to everyone that has supported us this year, Halfpipe London is giving you the best Christmas present of all; a £200 Gift Voucher to spend at London’s premium (and most amazing) snowboard store. Merry Christmas!”
4) on the 4th day of christmas whitelines offered me… A pair of limited edition park-whitelines gloves
We hooked up with one of our favourite brands, Manchester-based Park Clothing, to make these awesome limited edition pipe gloves. Designed by Whitelines Art Director Tim Whitlock with an twisted Illuminati theme, these are guaranteed to give you sinister powers every time you hit the park.*
“Park started out back in 2008 when two friends were looking for change. Park has since developed its own signature style of Clothing and apparel that combines casual wear with the performance, quality and functionality of high spec outerwear.”
*Ok so we actually can’t guarantee that, but you will look dope!
5) on the 5th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a photo canvas print from radshot.com!
Radshot.com is the photo blog started by Whitelines’ esteemed editor in chief, Ed Blomfield, as “a quiet space to showcase some of my favourite images from the best snowboard photographers in the world”. As well as sharing the greatest images from the world’s best snowboard snappers, Radshot also helps them sell canvasses and framed prints of their pictures.
They’re giving one lucky winner a 30cm x 20cm canvas of this epic photo of Paul Lambersens by French snapper Matt Georges, which will make a perfect addition to a bedroom/living room/man-shed wall.
6) on the 6th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a pair of skullcandy NAVIGATOR headphones & a £100 voucher to spend in sputnik
“Sputnik Snowboard Shop was born at the dizzy heights of Wycombe Summit Dry Ski Slope back in the Winter of 1999/2000. Here Sputnik quickly became involved with the UK dry slope scene, gaining a great reputation for a friendly shop vibe, amazing products and the best honest advice around. Sputnik still stands and takes pride in its reputation.”
Like the Aviators from which they were developed, Skullcandy’s Navigator headphones offer on-ear comfort combined with the kind of brain-crushing sound that Skullcandy is famous for.
7) on the 7th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a pair of forcefield body armour boom shorts!
Forcefield Body Armour provide protective kit for the likes of Jamie Nicholls, Jenny Jones and Seb Kern. They also make gear for superbike racers, speedway riders and all sorts of other screw-loose nutjobs – basically their stuff is damned good at stopping you from getting hurt.
These Boom Shorts are a case in point. Filled with flexible foam pads, they’ll stop you breaking your coccyx on rails, or hurting yourself horribly on icy landings. There’s a reason they were picked as one of the top accessories on sale this season.
8) On the 8th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a pair of bjorn leines signature dye goggles.
Bjorn Leines is a badman. A mainstay of the Rome Snowboards team for years he’s responsible for a string of epic video parts – most recently an appearance in Volcom’s movie Chamaleon.
He recently signed for Dye an American company that makes high quality eyewear. These T1 Goggles are his signature model, and come with his bear logo on the strap and a spare low light lens.
9) on the 9th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a quarterback punk technical base layer.
Quarterback Punk are a relatively new British brand who describe themselves as the “architects of a mis-spent youth”. Their entertaining designs celebrate a lot of what’s best about the British snowboard scene. Read their blurb on this one for example:
“It’s about time the UK’s finest resort started getting the recognition it deserved. A vibrant park scene, reasonably priced beer, easily accessible from the M25 without flying via Geneva, and absolutely no middle-aged leathery old French skiers in step-in boots. Share your love of the homegrown (so-to-speak)….”
Sounds about right eh?
10) on the 10th day of Christmas whitelines offered me… a sweater, t-shirt, base layer and beanie from Love inc.
Love Inc. Snowboard Company are one of our favourite UK brands. Based in the snowboarding stronghold of Sheffield, the make high quality apparel as well as technical kit like baselayers and gloves.
James from Love Inc. has put together a particularly sick selection of the company’s finest gear for one of our lucky “12 Days of Christmas” winners, featuring a Crew sweatshirt, a Commando beanie, a classic logo tee and a full baselayer with thermal pants. Bang tidy!
11) on the 11th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a protec helmet and impact shorts!
Pro-Tec are one of the best known manufacturers of protective gear in snowboarding. Their helmets currently protect the bonces of American jib Jedi Jed Anderson and Finnish halfpipe star Markus Malin.
With a wheel adjustment system which means that one-size fits all, this peaked Riot helmet would be a pretty awesome prize by itself, but throw in a pair of IPS Lo Pro impact shorts and it gets even better.
12) on the 12th day of christmas whitelines offered me… a pair of skullcandy hesh headphones, a copy of absinthe films’ dopamine and a tangerine.
Our final 12 Days of Christmas Prize is probably our favourite. There’s a copy of Absinthe’s latest magnum opus, Dopamine on DVD. If you haven’t seen this yet, you really should have, if only for Victor de le Rue’s insane ender section.
There’s also a pair of Skullcandy’s Hesh headphones, a particularly rad on-ear design so you can get the most out of Absinthe’s awesome soundtrack.
And best of all, we’re giving you that ultimate Christmas stocking filler… a tangerine!* Yep, we’re THAT generous, what can we say?
*Real tangerine may differ slightly in size and shape from the one shown. Mostly cos we’re not sending these prizes out ’til early January, so this one will just be a rotten pulp by then…
