Slightly ironically named Tomohiro Fujii won the Canon Shootout Best Documentary Award with this film, making him the competitions’ winner for the second year running.
Although it’s clearly beautifully shot, we couldn’t help but think, what if you had to live in Tomohiro’s world permanently? Almost everything slowed down to a fraction of it’s intended speed, apart from waxing your board which thankfully would take seconds…
I mean we love slow motion as much as the next guy but when every frame feels like swimming through treacle it can get a bit tiring.
Watch this a couple of times, and see if it doesn’t mess with your head.
