Oi Mate! was first launched last season to showcase the snowboard-related happenings down under (well, Australia to be more specific) and contrary to what you may think of southern hemisphere shredding, our antipodean brethren actually have a pretty decent variety of terrain to ride.

From the rails and jumps of Thredbo and Perisher (watch out for Jye Kearney – one of the more talented and prolific jibbers to come out of the Australian scene in recent years), to the street spots in Falls Creek, this is all good stuff.

It’s all the more impressive when you consider that Australian mountains are actually more like snow-dusted hills – complete with weird Australian wildlife (both non human and human…) and snow that is more often than not, more bulletproof than the presidential car.
