Far from being brought down by the lack of a serious British film this winter, the locals at the Manchester Chill Factore have taken matters into their own hands. They’ve filmed and edited a film that they’re calling Secret sessions, which shows what goes down after hours, when the doors of the dome are closed to the public. Featuring the riding of Manchester’s finest, including Colum Mytton and Joe Tomlinson, the film includes footage of the epic session which produced Chillfactore’s entry to our Indoor Park Battle competition – the massive 15-metre channel gap which you can see for yourself in Whitelines 87. Pat Sharples, Salomon’s Team Manager and a Manchester local, said: “The ‘Secret Sessions’ at Chill Factore are something that has never been done before in the UK. The quality of filming and editing really makes it stand out and shows the passion of snowsports amazingly well. The riders had so much fun and stepped it up at every session.”
The crew are holding a special premiere of the film tonight down at the slope, offering three hours riding for the price of two between 7 and 10, followd by a free screening of the film at 10.30. From the look of this little teaser, this is going to be well worth a watch…
