If you weren’t already aware, the annual music, party and competition extravaganza that is The Brits is leaving the sunny slopes of Switzerland for Tignes, France this year. Say what you will about the various pros and cons of the two resorts but the fact remains that more often than not, change is a good thing. The six day event will run from the 23rd to the 30th of March and promises a stellar music line up, epic parties and of course, a showcase of the biggest and brightest snowboarding talent that our fine nation has to offer. As in previous years, the Brits will continue to offer valuable TTR World Snowboard Tour ranking points.
Bookings have officially opened for the week and packages start from a recession busting £279, that includes accommodation, lift pass and your all-important festival wristband. Various accommodation options are available for the week ranging from self-catered set-ups right through to über swanky 4* chalet style pads. For those of you that like a hot meal on the table after spending a hard day on the slopes recovering from the previous night’s hangover, our friends at Dragon Lodge have teamed up with The Brits to offer a half-board option (trust us, the food’s good).
Tignes has seen a lot of love over the past few years with the European X-Games setting up camp there for last three years. The 2013 Euro X-Games are going down the week before the Brits so here’s to hoping that all of the good vibes and party atmosphere will continue on to produce one epic fornight! At least we know that the slopestyle course will be bloody massive…
