So we’re not quite sure how this managed to slip under our radar since 2007 but this has to trump LED snowboards, Russian slagheap boarding and flyboards as one of the weirdest, most ridiculous new takes on snowboarding that we’ve come across yet. These kooky Cauncks took snowboarding; got it smashed on Fireball, booked it into a room with, of all things, hang gliding and managed to conceive the illegitimate lovechild that is ‘Hangboarding’.
Nope, this is no pisstake and yes, those are able-bodied, full-grown men riding those things. This video is pure hilarity from start to finish and there are way too many highlights to mention here so we won’t give it all away. Oddly, this video reminded our editor in chief, Ed, of this absolute gem of an outro from the 1999 classic ‘Creature of Habit vol. 3: Demented Chowder Pilots’. Look out for the bad guy at 4:05 who could very well have been the inspiration for this hilarious hangboarding fad. Regrettably, he meets an unfortunate fate in the end – can we say karma?
