Why We Chose The Bataleon Push Up+: The Push Up+ exemplifies Bataleon’s commitment to innovative 3D shaping. It’s a high-performance, versatile ride for women who want to tear up the whole mountain.

Bataleon has long been at the forefront of 3D snowboard design, and the Push Up+ showcases just how far they’ve come. This premium women’s all-mountain board takes everything that made the original Push Up great and cranks it up a notch. With its blend of advanced materials and Bataleon’s signature Triple Base Technology, the Push Up+ gives you the lightweight, fast and catch-free platform to really (ahem) push your riding.

“The Push Up+ represents a significant evolution in women’s all-mountain snowboarding”

Who Is The Bataleon Push Up+ For?

The Push Up+ is tailored for intermediate to advanced female riders who want versatility and performance. Whether you’re carving up the resort, exploring off-piste, or lapping the park, this board can handle it all. It’s not particularly stiff either, so you don’t need to be an X Games athlete to get the most out of it.

Shape, Profile and Sidecut

At the heart of the Push Up+ is Bataleon’s 3BT (Triple Base Technology) with SideKick. This unique 3D shaping philosophy lifts the edges at the widest points of the nose and tail, reducing the chance of edge catches while maintaining the liveliness of camber. The Push Up+ features a low uplift angle, making it a little more stable and accessible to riders new to the 3BT game.

“It’s both technically advanced and crazy fun to ride”

The board’s directional twin shape provides a balanced ride that excels in all conditions. Its medium camber profile strikes a sweet spot between responsiveness and forgiveness, resulting in a board that carves with precision on hardpack but still surfs easily through powder.

Construction and Materials

Bataleon has pulled out all the stops for the Push Up+, upgrading several key components from the standard Push Up. The Ultra Light Core, a blend of paulownia and poplar woods, offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and lends the board a super nimble feel. This is enhanced by carbon stringers in the layup, which add pop and responsiveness without increasing weight.

“The subtle implementation of 3BT makes it accessible to those new to the technology”

One of the standout features is the Dual Super Tubes (D.S.T) – hollow carbon cylinders inserted directly into the core. One of these is positioned on each side, boosting ollie power and enhancing overall board control.

The triax laminate provides a three-way fibreglass weave that’s light, strong, and incredibly responsive, perfect for riders who like to charge fast and hit bigger features. The addition of an Aramid X-Ply top laminate further increases the board’s durability without adding unnecessary weight.

Underneath, the Ultra Glide S base is a step up from the one found on the standard Push Up. This premium, 7000-grade sintered base will keep you gliding effortlessly down cat tracks and pow fields alike – provided you keep it waxed.

Roundup

The Bataleon Push Up+ represents a significant evolution in women’s all-mountain snowboarding. It successfully marries Bataleon’s innovative 3D shaping with high-end materials to create a board that’s both technically advanced and crazy fun to ride. The subtle implementation of 3BT makes it accessible to those new to the technology, while the performance upgrades will satisfy even the most demanding riders.
As our tester Stella put it: “The Push Up+ felt so light and effortless under my feet. I literally had a smile on my face as soon as I strapped in.” Its versatility shines through in its ability to handle varied terrain with equal aplomb – from buttering on groomers to sending it off park kickers. All told, the Push Up+ delivers a ride that’s stable, poppy, and easy to maneuver.
While the high-end features might be overkill for pure beginners, and die-hard freeriders might prefer something more aggressive, the Push Up+ hits a sweet spot that will appeal to a broad range of female riders. It’s a board that can grow with you as you progress, encouraging you to push your limits rather than being intimidatingly stiff.

Pros:

  • Versatile performance across all terrain types
  • High-end construction with premium materials
  • 3BT + SideKick technology reduces edge catches

Cons:

  • Premium features come with a higher price tag
  • Might be more board than pure beginners need

Tester’s Verdict 2024/25

Stella Pentti

“My go-to snowboarding about seven years ago was the Bataleon Wallie, a board I truly loved at the time. However, as I got older, I found the Wallie to be a bit too playful for my taste, so the Wallie was replaced by something else. This year, I got to try the new Bataleon Push Up +, and I have to say, it was good to be back riding a Bataleon.

The Push Up + felt so light and effortless under my feet. I literally had a smile on my face as soon as I strapped in, and not buttering down the hill would have just felt criminal. This is a fun board. It’s also stable, and I didn’t feel thrown once whilst riding it – even when hitting the park and attempting to spin off the kickers as someone who hasn’t gone near the park in more than five years.

This Bataleon beauty is definitely going to be my new go-to board; it’s fun, stable, poppy, and easy to manoeuvre. I’m 172cm tall, and like my boards fairly short, so I chose to ride a 146cm – which worked perfectly for me.

For me, this is a 10/10, but the ones who prefer something stiffer and aren’t necessarily looking for an all-mountain board with a camber pop, might not rate this to the same extent.”
