If you’re living an active lifestyle all year round and looking for a jacket that serves a purpose no matter the season or activity, the Cortazu Mountain Hard Shell jacket is a great addition to your arsenal. Multifunctional and comfortable, this jacket will serve you well no matter the season.

Materials and Construction

This lightweight 3-layer hardshell jacket is made using Dermizax EV fabric, which is 100% waterproof and windproof while remaining breathable under active conditions. On top of that, 50% of the materials used are recycled.

The Dermizax membrane is both comfortable and durable, created with proprietary technology in Japan and designed to protect you in all weather conditions from extreme snow to pouring rain.

Adding to its qualities, is the membrane’s ability to breathe, allowing sweat to be transported outside of the jacket during high-intensity activities. However, being a shell, you’ll do well to layer up when temperatures drop below zero as the jacket itself isn’t equipped with insulation.

Fit and Features

The fit is what you would expect from a hard-shell jacket made for touring and hiking – quite snug. However, the snug fit serves a purpose making it easier for the jacket to move with you whilst also reducing the overall weight of the jacket. Not to worry though, you can easily still fit a mid-layer underneath.

As for features, the Mountain Hard Shell jacket is equipped with nine pockets to hold all your essentials, waterproof AcquaGuard zippers and a RECCO® Rescue System. You’ll also find a sunglass and goggle wipe in the right sleeve pocket and a keycord in the right-hand pocket. The hood is adjustable at the front and back with a high collar for protection against wind, rain and snow.
