The latest stop on the Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle Tour took place Italy, in the very un-Italian sounding resort of Kronzplatz. The fact that the people in this border area are pretty much half-Austrian explains the name, and also the presence of a whole bunch of Austrian riders. It doesn’t explain the presence of the UK’s Chris Chatt though… what was he doing there?!
Well, it seems that ever since a pretty-much unknown Russian wiped the floor with the Finns in the Talma leg of the Stairset Battle, riders have started travelling round Europe in an attempt to win a leg and get themselves a golden ticket to the final at the Nike 6.0 Air & Style Munich. We reckon Chatt does pretty well here, and had he only been up against the Italians, he might well have won it. Unfortunately, a couple of other riders, including Holland’s Jesse Augustinus (3rd), Slovenia’s Nejc Ferjan (2nd) and Austria’s Flo Achenrainer (1st) had had the same idea, and travelled to Italy to give it a shot. Chatt still got 6th though, which is pretty rad eh? It’s also one place higher than the highest-ranked Italian… Hit more for the full results.
