Wyoming Pythons get it. They just do.
There’s a lot of love gone into their full length film Close To Home, from the filming to the storytelling, to the snowboarding itself.
It tells the tale of the crew’s tour of their native state, as well as seemingly creating a parallel universe where snowboarding still feels like a purely grassroots movement, immune to the bullshit of the outside world.
Along the way, the team find small resorts and tucked away spots, solitary log jibs, barely covered cliffs, DIY boards, DIY spots, natural ditches, tranny rich parks, and even one Bryan Iguchi shredding with his kid Milo.
If you’ve grown weary with the formula, or even if you’ve never seen a full snowboard movie before, this film reaches beyond the ‘wow’ factor of big budget bangers and pulls out something with a lot of heart, as well as heavy riding, and a road trip that takes some beating. Well played WYPY!
