Having split with Burton earlier this year Romain has teamed up with the guys from Flux who are stoked to have him onboard. Flux are a Japanese plastics company who have been producing bindings for years but they haven’t ever taken off in Europe… Yet. Word from Jeremy Sladen at TSA is that this year’s range of bindings are insanely good, and with the likes of Romain giving them some added kudos they could be making waves in the UK market soon.
The word from the Flux camp is “Obviously, we are very excited to have him representing us and are looking forward to the support he will bring to the brand.”
This comes as Romain has announced he and former Burton teammates, JP Solberg and DCP, are going to be launching their own snowboard company after Burton decided to shut down their Un-Inc operation. The guys clearly aren’t ones to be beaten, and having found a host of other sponsors since the split they are aiming to show the world there is life after Burton. Here at Whitelines Towers we’re wishing them all the best!
