Tyler made the move over to the Czech clothing company last spring, and with plenty of experience in BC, AK and beyond, he certainly knows what’s needed when you’re exploring out-of-bounds territory in snow levels that demand a bit more from your kit.

In keeping with Horsefeathers’ eco-friendly legacy, the Patrol is crafted from recycled plastics wherever possible, without sacrificing comfort or technical capabilities. The shell for example, is 100% recycled nylon, but still offers 20k/20k waterproofing/breathability, putting it firmly in the premium jacket category, without the outrageous price tag you might find elsewhere.
Pair this up with fully taped seams, and lightweight 40g Primaloft insulation in the body and sleeves, and you won’t be needing too much more in terms of layers until it gets really cold – as Tyler explains:
I usually like to combine it with an ultralight insulated base layer, I take the Patrol off for hiking but swap the ultralight out again for shredding.
Style wise, it’s certainly one for those that like things classic but colourful, with contrast zippers and clean hidden pockets across the range. Perfect if you want to be easily spotted for the shot, or make sure your friends don’t lose you when the weather closes in.
