Japanese half-pipe rider, Taku Hiraoka has grown up with the Japanese mountains surrounding him and in 2009, aged 14, he started competing. Now Taku is pulling in top results and he has still got so much time to improve.
He had a brilliant year last year in the FIS World Cup. It started with a gold medal back in February in Sochi when he defeated I-Pod and Scotty Lago to take the top spot, followed by a silver in August. He is now on his way to his first Olympics with the Japanese team and we are looking forward to him pulling some big tricks out the bag.
