Helgasons and friends at the Frontline railjam

The annual Frontline Railjam went down in Stockholm over the weekend and brought some of the world’s best jibbers together to shred the down bar and down flat down rail in front of hordes of screaming Scandis (is it just us but does that have a slightly chilling ring to it?). Halldor and Eiki Helgason have done pretty well at this event in the past and were back for another go, both qualifying for finals and riding alongside a whole host of other spinny, pressy snowboarders such as Gulli Gudmundsson, Ethan Morgan and our very own Andy Nudds (no sign of him in this edit sadly). Now we may be a bit biased here but purely on the grounds of consistency and variation of tricks that were stomped, Andy should have been in the finals. We didn’t see anyone else attempt anything like a switch frontside bluntslide 450 out and if Andy had stomped it, we think he should have been in there without doubt. A mighty fine effort nonetheless!

Anyway, we’re digressing again. Marc Swoboda ended up taking the win overall, with Halldor taking the best trick on the down bar with a stupidly tech hardway backside 270, 270 out at the end of this edit. Ludwig Lejkner stomped the best trick on the down flat down.

If you fancy watching the full 50-odd minutes of finals, Method Mag were there and you can stream the full thing below:
