Mark McMorris at the Dew Tour Big Air

Here’s another look at the Dew Tour weekend that went down back in December. All in all it was a pretty good one for Mark McMorris – if you missed hearing the results, Mark screwed on his stomping legs and cleaned up in both Slopestyle and Big Air, putting down three backside triple cork 1440’s in the latter event. Stale Sandbech was also looking as impressive as ever – and the highlight of this vid has to be his backside 720 to late method grab at 00:29 (we seriously need more stylish variations like that in contest snowboarding these days). Sage Kotsenburg’s sick backside 1080 double corks with a japan grab are another one we’ve been enjoying recently as well.

Anyway, Mark has had an absolute flying start to the season so far, also placing second in the second Olympic qualifying slopestyle event at Stoneham (only two places ahead of our very own Billy Morgan we might add!). As reigning X-Games champ in both Slopestyle and Big Air he is definitely going to be one to watch at the forthcoming X-Games that kick off this weekend.
