We thought the crazy boozed up antics had reached its zenith with the recent teaser for the Gremlinz snowboard film, but the opening credits of this free, full length Bang Show movie, ‘Back to the Boneyard’, takes things up a level. Within 30 seconds we have thrash metal, satanic symbols, smashed potted plants, a butt naked bloke getting boozy, a girl seemingly about to get her tits out, a hideous rail slam, smashed bottles, smoking, puking, indoor firework throwing, another hideous rails slam, ANOTHER hideous rail slam, smashed boards, a skier eating shit, a guy riding down the hill on a road barrier and lots and lots of FIRE. Brilliant. If you don’t have time to watch the whole half hour, at least brighten up your Monday with the first couple of minutes.
Perhaps these action packed teasers are a sign that snowboarding is finally getting over its introspective, serious phase, and its overly slick/formulaic phase, and back to wild, irreverant movie making like this. We hope so.
