If you’re looking to make your first foray into proper backcountry riding, The Rider Social not only feed and bed you (not like that) for six nights but offer splitboard and backcountry courses to guests. You can pick and choose what you do – either stay in the chalet with meals, transfer and lift pass included or sign up for a five-day introduction to backcountry or splitboarding. We like the sound of their split ‘n’ mix week, where you can spend half your week riding the Portes de Soleil’s best powder and the other half learning to splitboard.
