When it comes to early season snow, being superficial isn’t really a luxury you can afford. While Val Thorens is never going to win any awards for its beauty, what it lacks in looks, it definitely makes up for in height. Sitting at 2,300 meters, Val Thorens takes the prize for the highest resort in Europe and with height inevitably comes good snow. This year Val Thorens will open its mountain 23rd November, with access to the bountiful 3 Valleys following up on the 8th December.
Planned opening: 23rd November 2013
Early season 6 day pass: 177 Euros – Val Thorens only / 221.60 Euros – 3 valleys
