The Big B is here – Burton Snowboards swung by our stand at ISPO 2015 to enlighten us to what they’ve been working on for the last 12 months. Chris Patsch, the Burton Brand Manager sat down with Henry Jackson on the sofa to drop some knowledge.

Burton opened a European office in Innsbruck, Austria back in 1985 to support Euro operations and to snap up the hottest talent from the continent. Extending out to the east, Burton began a distributor model in Japan in 1994, identifying the country as a hotspot for young rippers.

In recent times Burton Snowboards have refocused on their core line as well as expanding product lines like backpacks, clothing and other accessories.

This time Chris talks us through the collaboration with Gwen Stefani – they’ve collaborated before, and now it’s back for a 2016 line. We also swung by their show in Munich - which was separate from the ISPO hubbub this year - and got a preview of their other lines.

You can check out their 2015 2016 highlights by hitting the left and right arrows.

We've only got a quick sample from Burton's Analog range this year - but the Minefield jacket is a stand out item for sure.

Made in classic military styling - its a heavyweight 15k/10k pullover with a kangaroo pouch and plenty of stash space. It comes in a regular/long cut with a fishtail at the back, and fully taped seams will come in handy on those wet days.

No doubt we'll be keeping a keen eye out for what else they'll be dropping in the coming months.

Burton have unleashed a huge range of Marvel collab wear for the kids this season - from limited edition snowboards to helmets, boots, jackets and backpacks.

On show here are a selection that feature their comic book cover art print - including the Chopper LTD Marvel snowboard, Marvel Mini-Grom Boots, Boys Game Day 10k/5k jacket (left) and much more!

With a sherpa fleece lined collar - and 2L Durashell 10k/10k Fox covered fabric, this women's jacket is a mid-fitting all rounder with fully taped seams.

With removable wrist and waist gaiters it's going to be plenty versatile - and 60g/40g insulation in the body/sleeves respectively will give it that extra warmth to cope with the weather.

Laid back snowboarding for the ladies comes with the lime-wedge topped Social snowboard. It's a true twin with a flat profile for catch-free stability.

Featuring a lighter 'Fillet-o-flex' construction - if you're in the market for a mid-soft board that will offer easy riding all over the mountain this is probably the whip for you.

Burton's Scribe Bindings are available in EST and Re:Flex options, so whether you're using Burton's Channel system or not, you can pair them up nicely. They offer a medium response and a versatile but comfortable women's specific fit.

This colourful selection is just one of 5 options in the Hilltop jacket - a 10k/10k, 60g insulated all rounder that's not short on features.

With a contour hood, and mid-fit overall - it has critically taped seams, and comes down in their premium breathability/waterproofing range - and this one definitely stands out from the crowd.

New boots for Burton's range this season - the Photon Boas feature a dual Boa closure system, mid-stiff response, and are orientated towards backcountry and big terrain.

With Vibram soles and 'Lockdown' tech for fit and performance - they're designed to be low-profile, high on comfort, and ready for anything. The Boa system's 'New England Ropes' even come with a lifetime guarantee.

It's not just Burton's [ak] range that's getting the Gore-Tex treatment in this year's outerwear - and you'll find their high-end materials in many items across the range.

On show here we have the Radial Jacket (Volcano Satellite series, left) - a lifetime warranty, 60g insulated beast; the Dune Jacket (centre) - vintage styling with Gore-Tex and insulation; and the Women's [ak] 2L Altitude Jacket (right), an articulated Purple Leaf lifetime warranty shell.

The massively popular Burton Malavita has become a staple binding for Big B's team riders and a growing base of freestyle oriented fans - and as expected it's back this year, with the major change being the addition of a new 'Hammockstrap' and 'Super Grip Capstrap' system.

Available in both EST and Re:Flex versions to fit all kinds of snowboards, as well as an option for Winged Highbacks - it's mid-stiff and versatile, and features re-ground materials to reduce waste.

Not for the first time - Burton have united with L.A.M.B. and Gwen Stefani for a new range of women's snowboard gear for the 2015-2016 season, and as you may have seen in the intro video - there's some pretty wild patterns in here.

On show above are The Ramone Moto Jacket (top left), Johnny Pant, Misfit Bomber jacket (top right) and Ritual Boots - which have been made for maximum board feel with a medium response.

A new one for this season - the Folsom jacket is a classically styled 2L Durashell 10k/10k shell jacket that's part of Danny Davis' signature gear for next season.

Featuring fully taped seams, a contour hood, a removable snowskirt - and a lifetime warranty - it's as heavy duty as the man himself!

One of our favourites from last season - and often seen under the feet of our Online Editor, the Flight Attendant is back with a whole new graphic for 2015-2016 to inspire you to pack up the camper van and get roaming.

It's built for natural terrain - and features a directional camber with a rockered nose, which will help you float in pow, but still destroy when you point it on groomers too.

Of course there are many incarnations of the Custom in this year's line alone. But for their 'selected dealer's only' ride - Burton have gone with an artist graphic on their recent addition - the Burton Custom Twin.

With a top-sheet designed by lady-admiring Spanish artist Juan Francisco Casas - it's a twinned out version of the classic as the name suggests. Available in camber and Flying-V profiles - it's been updated from last year's Custom with new Guard Rails to defend against destruction and add dampening.
