Stepchild Pony 2014-2015 Womens Snowboard Review

The Details:

As we move into springtime, it’s natural to have an eye on a something soft and jibby that allows you to make the most of the slushy conditions – and the Pony fits the bill. Both the name and design of this offering are a defiant two fingers up to the idea of a traditional ‘woman’s board,’ while at the same time containing a female-specific camber profile.

It’s a tough nut too – the inserts are reinforced with extra fibreglass that will prevent them from ripping out after even the gnarlist slam, plus the extruded base will take a beating. The latter means you’ll have to compromise on speed, but that’s no biggie – this isn’t one for pointing down 50-degree faces anyway.
