Slash Aurora 2014-2015 Snowboard Review

The Details:

Gigi Rüf doesn’t make a huge variety of boards, but the ones he does make are pretty special. The Aurora is Slash’s most high-tech creation to date, a step up from the ATV that’s bursting at the seams with top tech.

The ‘dual camber’ construction means that, as well as the standard contact points towards the nose and tail, there are additional ones at the waist too. As with all Slash sticks, there are also slight protrusions at the middle of each sidecut that provide extra grip on ice. The Aurora’s base is allegedly the fastest around, and the combination of carbon stringers and super-light wood makes it solid without being heavy. It all adds up to a formidable piece of kit that’s prepared for anything.
