Six years since it’s inception – and the award winning Ride Machete is still going strong. It’s comparatively simple profile is a formula that ticks the right boxes for all mountain good times.
Built on a flat zone underfoot and LowRize rocker zones in the tip and tail – the idea is to cut down on hook-ups without loosing out on pop, resulting in surfy fun in the park, on piste, and in powder.
On the tech side – Ride use urethane ‘Slimewalls’ to reduce chatter and let you focus on charging, as well as Pop Rods in the core for added snap, and carbon laminates for strength and torsional stability.
If your looking for a one board quiver, the Ride Machete or it’s supercharged ‘GT’ cousin are well worth taking into consideration.
“We had a lot of powder today, and that was the first thing I took it into – and it really held up well. I’ve got a really wide stance and it’s a true twin board which shouldn’t really work in powder, but it actually floats pretty well. It’s got a rocker profile, and I really didn’t have to put too much effort in to keep the nose up in deep snow. Afterwards I took it to the piste, which was basically chopped up powder today, and I found that it was very good at bashing through the different undulating terrain – I didn’t really find it too wobbly, or feel like it was going to kick me off at any time, it really did a good job of holding exactly the line that I wanted.” – Andrew Duthie
