K2 Turbo Dream 2014-2015 Snowboard Review

The Details:

Straight from the quiver of Norwegian pro ripper Danny Larsen comes the K2 Turbo Dream – an all terrain freestyle charger built on a flatbase/rocker profile.

K2 have built the Turbo Dream with strength and stability in mind. A carbon web runs from tip to tail to give it durability and a powerful pop, while their ‘Tweekend’ baseline extends the rideable surface area right through to each end of the board for better stability and a solid landing platform.

If you’re worried that this all sounds a bit intense, you can rest easy – K2’s Harshmellow dampening underfoot is in place to ease the vibrations and reduce fatigue so you can keep pushing it all day long.

Thanks to the Enjoyers series, there are two different design variations of this season’s Turbo Dream, so be sure to check them both out before you reach for your wallet.

The Review:

“The Turbo Dream is designed for going fast! I know it’s an all terrain board but it’s meant to be pointed. The base is definitely a quick one and I found that especially on long cat groomers where you’re trying to get from one place to another, it doesn’t let you down. It’s torsionally quite stiff as well thanks to the honeycomb segments and the carbon web that they’ve got in the core – even in quite undulating terrain, it does hold up really well. Charging is where it’s most at home, but that’s not to say that it can’t handle other things as well” – Andrew Duthie
