Sometimes there’s just no substitute for classic camber; this brand new offering from DC was designed in collaboration with Torstein Horgmo, who clearly favours the traditional bend. Combine that with the fact that it’s stiff as hell, and you’ve got something that’ll deliver stability on your way to the kicker and bucketloads of pop at the take-off – and you don’t need to be able to huck a triple cork to appreciate that.
It’s also got a slightly stubbier nose and tail, allowing for a longer effective edge that makes it feel more stable at speed. Combine that with the sintered base you’ll have no problem redlining on this thing. Yes, it’s camber, but Torstein clearly doesn’t have problems with rails – unless you count his Olympic practice snafu – so neither will you.
