“Brand new classic” may seem like a contradiction in terms, but DC’s summary of the Lynx is actually pretty bang on. It’s a new boot in the brand’s snow range but is based on its legendary skate shoe of the same name, first released in 1998.
It wouldn’t be a DC Lynx without a bit of suede, in this case the fully waterproof ‘Wolverine’ pig suede that’s Scotchguard-treated and exclusive to this boot. It features DC’s most advanced lining, which boasts heat-mouldable EVA and a powerstrap that provides extra security and support across the shin. The tongue on this one is a new design, built to match the natural shape of your leg like never before, while the Unilite sole delivers tons of grip. It’s pretty stiff, so will suit powerful riders who want a boot that holds up at all speeds, but it’s clear that comfort has been on the drawing board at every step. 20 years since it broke into the skate scene, DC is proving that it still knows how to make great footwear.
