Bataleon Evil Twin Asym 2014-2015 Snowboard Review

The Details:

With the Evil Twin celebrating its tenth year, the guys at Bataleon have released an asymmetrical version. It’s got the same flex rating as the original, and is still intended primarily for freestyle riding.

Of course, it also boasts the Triple Base Technology that all Bataleon boards have, and it’s here that the asym aspect comes in to play. While the base still rises up slightly on both edges, the ‘sidebases’ are slightly shorter on the heel side. This means that you get better edge contact where you need it most, while still giving you all the benefits of full TBT on the easier-to-control toe side. It’s still symmetrical through the waist though, so like the classic Evil Twin it will feel exactly the same when you ride switch.
