We want YOUR stories and photos

It’s not long until Whitelines Magazine returns for another winter (yay!) and we want YOU to get involved in three new sections. If you’re a budding writer or photographer, or you just love the shred and fancy the chance to express those personal experiences that sometimes get forgotten by the shred media, then now’s your chance.

1. Best Day Ever
Everyone’s had one of those days, right? The day that it all came together. The day you’ll remember for the rest of your life. You and your mates ventured to an unknown resort after a big dump and found the carpark empty but the lifts open; or you stumbled on the powder run to end all powder runs. Or maybe you bumped into a famous rider and did a few laps with him in the park, then shared a pint with him down the bar? However your ultimate day went down, and whatever your riding standard, we want to hear it.

2. Mountain Tales
Got a more dramatic story? One which might not have been your ‘best’ day (or even strictly riding-related) but is definitely an interesting tale. Drop us a line. We’re thinking near death experiences, stuck on the hill overnight, took a wrong turn, heli lifted out etc. etc. It doesn’t have to be scary though – if you’ve got a funny or uplifting story to share, all the better. Maybe you spent a year on an epic, round the world tour with a backpack and a board bag. Maybe you met the strangest person ever in a lift queue. Or maybe you once took mushrooms before a road gap session like my friend Dan ;) Let us know.

3. UK Shred Pics
This is one for the photographers and local crews out there. We’re keen to run a spread of local shots in every issue this year, so if you’re sitting on any banging images, send ’em in! Dryslope, indoor, Scottish resorts, urban rails…. whatever. Let’s celebrate the UK shred.

Send all your contributions (or just a brief outline of the story if you like) to Photos should be sent as low res jpgs first, but if we decide to print it you’ll need to be able to access the original hi res image (2MB +). Complete stories should be no longer than 700 words

That’s it. We’d love to hear from you so get involved!
