The UK’s Jonny Russell, rightly reckoned to be one of the best jibbers in the country at the moment, stepped up onto the international stage last weekend with an amazing performance in the Burn Rail Jam Innsbruck. JR joined riders from Germany, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia in sessioning three gnarly looking rails. The jam format comp took place in the centre of Innsbruck, drawing a large crowd shortly before the Innsbruck Air & Style kicked off. With fellow Brits Jon Weaver and Henry Jackson on MC duties and a wad of Burn’s cash to er, burn on the best tricks, JR was well-rewarded for his night’s work – which included some (and we’re quoting from the official Euro press release here) “butter-smooth nose & tail presses and bs tailslides.” Good work son!
