Battersea is not usually known for being the centre of the snowboarding universe, but for one weekend in October (29th-31st to be precise), this slightly scruffy area on the South Bank of the Thames will be hosting some of our sport’s biggest stars. Yes, the Relentless Freeze Festival is returning to the UK’s capital for the third year in a row, bringing its unique mix of world-class music and world-class shredding with it. Set in the Mad Max-esque landscape next to the iconic Battersea Power Station, the festival boasts a line-up to die for, with drum n’ bass legend Roni Size headlining on the Friday, and hipster extraordinaire Mark Ronson closing proceedings on the Saturday night. Sunday night will see drum n’ bass come metal band Pendulum finishing things off in raucous style. Other confirmed acts include the Scratch Perverts, Nextmen, and Canada’s Bedouin Soundclash, and that’s before we even get onto the snowboarding!
