SNO!zones fight for your vote

The Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle is only weeks away, and will see 9 spots across Europe – including one UK snowdome – host an international jibbing comp. First off, however, they need to decide which of our indoor slopes will get the honour of installing the behemoth set of stairs. The shortlist consists of Braehead, Castleford and Milton Keynes, and in a new twist the latter two have attempted to sway the vote by producing the snowboarding equivalent of a party political broadcast. Each of these sweet edits showcases the strength of their local scene and, we’ve gotta say, tugs at the old heartstrings.

Update: We’ve just received a video from Braehead too!

Here’s why all the slopes thinks they deserve your vote, in their own words:

BRAEHEAD: “I know the park teams at BH are more than capable of making this the gnarly handrail session everyone wants it to be. There are so many awesome riders here already and it’s not often that people from south of the border come up here so it would be fun to session our home slope with all of them.“ – Connor Carey

CASTLEFORD: “The Stairset should totally be at Cas, the snow is better and we have the two best shapers in the UK in Damo and Monkey. It‘s also in the middle of the country so everyone can get to it easily, you know it makes sense.“ – Will Smith

MILTON KEYNES: “It’s simple, we’re in the middle of all the domes in the UK and we always have a good turn out at all of our events. Plus our Cat drivers and shapers are some of the best in the country.“ – Neil Campbell
