Zak Hale is not a name that many people will be familiar with. We hadn’t heard of him ’til we saw a video Burton posted of their latest crop of groms in action recently. But we reckon we’re going to be seeing a hell of a lot more of this kid in the very near future. Coming from Mammoth means this 18-year-old obviously had a bit of a head start when it came to getting tricks down in the park, but what really stands out for us here is his style. Watch a lot of young park rats these days, and you’d be hard-pushed to tell them apart – they might be double corking all over the place, but there’s little that marks them out. But this kid? This kid oozes steeze. Shit, there’s a lot of pros who’ve been around for years who’d love to be able to ride with as much natural flair as this. Zak Hale – watch out for him.
