Regardless, the guys at Foursquare reckon the mid-19th Centrury’s process of choice has got the potential to breathe new life into a medium that’s in danger of under-developing (pun very much intented).

It apparently involves “mixing Collodion, iodizes, bromides, ether, alcohol, silver nitrate, ferrous sulfate, and acids while applying them to a metal or glass plate. The final product is a one-of-a-kind original that cannot be matched by any other photographic process of our day”. All we can think of is how flippin’ mad this guy would be if someone ruined his shot.

Being a video, there’s no way for us to judge whether or not the end result is worth the (seemingly gargantuan) effort, but it’s interesting to see such a different approach to snowboard photography. If it’s going to catch on with any group, our money’s on those who enjoy new-age fun with a vintage feel….
