DCP – awesome Pink Floyd re-cut of his Absinthe ‘Now/Here’ part

Wow – it’s only October and we’re already getting re-cut vimeo versions of the latest snowboard movies, in this case DCP’s full part from Absinthe Films’ 2010 release ‘Now/Where’. Viva the internet, hey? This edit was put together by the company DCP part owns with Romain de Marchi and JP Solberg, YES Snowboards and features extended footage from his ‘perfect’ season. According to the intro, “DCP was uber lucky this year, shredding in Whistler, the Kootenays and AK, and hitting powder everywhere he went.” It certainly looks like it – this is one of the heaviest video parts we’ve seen for a while. Highlights include a Johan-style speed line on 2:16, a monster backside 720 off a windlip on 3:07 and another fluid, balls-out descent to close the section on 4:23. And it’s all beautifully set to Pink Floyd’s protest anthem ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ (“We don’t need no education!”). Dare we say it, but this is actually a better edit than the one which made the final cut of Now/Here.

One thing’s for sure – with next level freestyle/freeriding like this, Burton will be kicking themselves for dropping DCP from their team. I mean, what were you thinking Jake? This guy is f**in’ SICK!!
