After all, he has already gone Deeper and Further than most, so going lower would have been a bit of a backwards step at this point.
And for the true Jones fan who feared that maybe at these altitudes oxygen might have been scarce, fear not: there are plenty of classic JJ quotes about emotions, people he meets and ‘the journey is the reward’ even within the first thirty seconds of the clip.
You can also be absolutely sure that they won’t scrimp on the usual mountain, ice axe and ridge line visual porn present through the series, nor have they forgotten to buy more epic orchestral music to score it to.
In all seriousness though, Jeremy Jones is an outstanding rider and all out mountain dude. Few people get anywhere near close to the nutty lines and missions he puts himself and his crew through in search of the perfect ride.
There’s no worries at all that the Return of the Jedi in this series will fall short of its predecessors, even if it does culminate with him discovering a tribe of Ewoks out in the deepest reaches of Nepal. With skills and balls the size of Jones’, this’ll make for incredible viewing when it comes out it the autumn.
