Stu Innes Dryslope 2014

Stu InnesYou may remember, the wee lad from Garthdee who earlier this year put down eight different 180 on to 360 off combos (for the pedants out there, yes there are eight hardway versions too. Now get back to your Youtube comments board). That obviously wasn’t all Stu was up to over this Aberdonian ‘season’ as over the weekend he sent us this collection of clips.

It’s wicked getting to see just how rad the UK dryslope scene is over the summer months – whilst some spend the time pining away for pow, others use it wisely to tighten up their rail game and have some slidy sideways fun in the sun. In the last couple of weeks we’ve already had bangin’ edits from Danny McCormick and Jack Labbett posted online – click their names to get a peak of the radness.

Stu Innes brings a different approach to the other two – where Danny goes for creativity and Jack goes for style, this is all about tekkers. The aforementioned eight ways to do a 180-5050-360 are here, alongside some twisty madness like a frontboard pretzel 450, front 540 off an gas pipe and a few different ways to do a 5050 to 270 to boardslide. In short  – more twists and turns than a Dan Brown novel.

Our favourite part though has to be the hardcore dedication to urban rails ten seconds in – not a scrap of snow in sight but somehow he’s still sliding as street rail. Aberdeen locals are used to seeing some strange sights but surely this tops them all?

All his crew needs to do is tighten up their filming, get a bit more selective with their shot choices and get some bigger rails up at the slope and they’ll be well on their way to somewhere cool. Good one Stu!
