Eero Ettala was on fire last winter – not only was he riding his tenth pro model on Nitro and scoring Onboard covers, he also was a huge part of our favourite movie of the year – The Bad Seeds – and stole the show from possibly the most star-studded cast ever assembled in snowboarding history in Oakley’s Snowboarding For Me. Oh, and he kept up a successful web series with fellow Fins Heikki Sorsa and Lauri Heiskari.
Starting with him simultaneously drinking Red Bull and farting out a whole spring’s worth of methane, it goes on to show just how well-rounded Eero’s riding is
The footage above is a collection from all of those adventure: starting with him simultaneously drinking Red Bull and farting out a whole spring’s worth of methane, it goes on to show just how well-rounded Eero’s riding is. Along with the likes of Pat Moore, not only is he a veteran but he’s been able to consistently keep up with every new generation of urban and backcountry riders.
Well, whilst we say keep up, in actual fact in some respects he’s streets ahead of the curve. That backflip down the lengthy fourteen-stair set – switch – for instance, how many other guys are doing stuff like that right now? It’s Eero’s casual mix of gnar and creativity that has made him so entertaining to watch over the years, and by the looks of his Instagram account so far this year he’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down just yet.
Long may it continue – Eero is a hero.
