Everyone likes getting a good photo, and a true banger can be the one of the highlights of a pro snowboarder's career. We asked some of our favourite riders to pick out their all-time best picture. Urban master Ollie Dutton shares his story:
"This shot was taken a couple of years ago in Akureyri, Iceland, when I was filming with the Grindhouse boys for the movie Mind Games.
“As we were only there for a week we had chosen just one night to drink heavy, and this was the night."
We only had about four hours of daylight, so we had to be pretty organised to get shit done, but on this day we didn’t have a spot in mind so we were driving around trying to find something. By the time we found this spot it was already late, but I was down to hit it, so we set it up mad quick and started testing.
It took four of the guys to pull the bungee for me to get the speed, and it worked out pretty well so I tried to stall out a backside 180 over the closeout. I landed it and then we left, with Northy [James North] getting this dope shot.
It’s not the craziest thing I’ve done, but remains one of my favourite photographs for a couple of reasons. It’s a sick night-time photo taken at a skate-style spot through the trees, and I also really like the accidental dinosaur shadow. However, the memory of what happened after this was taken makes me love it even more.

As we were only there for a week we had chosen just one night to drink heavy, and this was the night. As we were staying in Halldor Hegason’s holiday cabin, he drove us into town via a spot they were filming on. They had drones flying around and we showed up mad drunk. We then went to a bar where we snuck into a 22-year-old’s hen do, full of Icelandic girls.
The rest of the night was mental, involving Tom Guilmard shitting himself, the police taking Jonny Russell home, and way too much other stuff to mention here. It was one of the best nights out I’ve ever had.
This photo reminds me of the fun day, and the wild night. Good times."
