Time is ticking away for young riders to register as the Oakley Grom Games approaches. The contest, which will pit young potential pros and future superstars against each other, takes place in Manchester's Chill Factore next Saturday (April 17th). Several exciting young riders are already confirmed as attending, including London's Lon Cannu, Sparrow Knox and Jamie Nicholls.

Manchester's Chill Factore, where the games will take place

The idea is to create a relaxed atmosphere in which young UK snowboarders can shred together and push each other - and the evening is open to everyone, from seasoned pros to the tiniest kids. However there's also a competition element to the evening, with the best riders from the open jam sessions being selected to go through to the finals where they can compete for prizes like a 50" Panasonic plasma TV!

But more than prizes or competition, this event is just about getting kids out onto the slopes and enjoying the shred! Head over to www.gromgames.co.uk to register.
