Seb Toots and Enni Rukajarvi post the highest scores in the Laax Open 2017 slopestyle semi finals.
Conditions couldn't have been any better today at the 2017 edition of the Laax Open, with blue skies, warmer temperatures and a pristine course setting the scene for some heavy slopestyle semi final action.
24 men and 12 women were to be cut to 12 and 6 respectively for finals - not an easy task for the judges, considering today's ridiculously high standards.
The Canadian men's team was looking as unstoppable as ever, with all 7 Canucks making it through to the finals. Sebastien Toutant, Mark McMorris and Max Parrot posted the top three scores of the day, with Seb Toots' best consisting of a cab 1260 nosegrab, frontside 1080 mute and a backside triple 14 indy on the kicker line.
Finnish ripper Enni Rukajärvi smashed it in the women's semi finals, stomping a run that included a frontside 720 tailgrab, backside 540 stale and a cab 720 indy. She'll face tough competition in Friday's finals from the likes of Jamie Anderson, Anna Gasser and Hailey Langland!
Stay tuned for full coverage of the slope and pipe finals over the next few days!
