Another bizarre twist in snowboarding’s thread in the loom of fate last night as Jenny Jones was only bloody selected to present a bloody BAFTA!
Alongside nice-faced BBC sports guy Jake Humphreys she handed over the gong for ‘Best Sport or Live Event Coverage’ to Sky Sports for their handling of last summer’s final day Ashes test cricket.
Weirdly, as far as we can tell Ed Leigh, Tim Warwood and Aimee Fuller weren’t even nominated for their superb coverage of the Ms Jones own Olympic success, but then again we may be biased. Hopefully Jenny was able to have a word with them before strolling out on the red carpet.
We’ve said it a hundred times already, but we’ll say it again, no one quite deserves this kind of success like Jenny Jones, she’s been an integral part of the UK snowboard scene for years which makes it all the more rad seeing her boosted to levels of fame like this. Plus, she seems to taking it all in her stride and handling it like an absolute boss, kudos!
What an evening so far! Presenting the @BAFTA TV award for sport and live event with @mrjakehumphrey #wearingafrock pic.twitter.com/t9WChq8IFW
