5 US Riders We’re Thankful For at Thanksgiving

It takes a lot of balls as a rider to turn your back on what you’re good at, and focus on what makes you happy. Like Travis Parker, soul surfer Jake Blauvelt did exactly this. After starting off an insanely talented slopestyle and halfpipe ride (he won the Burton US Open back in 2004), Jake turned his back on competitions to focus solely on riding backcountry.
