Torstein Horgmo's Olympic Training Regime

Intern Intern

Following the recent decision to include slopestyle in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Torstein Horgmo, (joined by Craig McMorris) has wasted no time in getting started with his rigorous training programme at the Bounce Aerobic Academy in Whistler. Going against what is viewed by many as the reason for starting snowboarding in the first place, this training session is all work and no play and to be honest it doesn’t look like they enjoyed themselves very much at all…

In all seriousness though it will be interesting to see whether Torstein is still riding at the insane level and consistency that he currently is by the time the 2014 games come around or whether any of the young-guns that are continually pushing the boundaries of slopestyle riding will have well and truly overtaken him by then. If the recent progression is anything to go by there’s no telling who will be at the top of the game in just over three years time but there’s no doubt that it will be one heck of a contest.
