OK, so we’ve had the post Olympic Oprah interview, and we’ve had the appearance on Letterman, but no self-respecting American can call himself a superstar until he’s been interviewed by the giant-chinned Jay Leno for the Tonight Show. Shaun White scored the prime time hat-trick this week with this latest appearance, in which he talks about dodging sharks in the Maldives, the challenges of skateboarding vs snowboarding, and the even bigger challenges of being a ginger and trying to tan. He also managed to look very smug when talking about his surfing abilities…. and yet the weird thing is, it’s hard NOT to like him!
